And Richard (‘Higg’), our head cook, worked as a director of El Piano in York, and is able to cater for any dietary requirements. You’ll now find Higg at the excellent Handmade Bakery in Slaithwaite, where he is a baker/cook.
We develop the menus for each night themed around the film we are showing.
For example, the menu for East is East (that we showed in October 2014) was:
Lamb Nihari (meat eaters)
Matar Panir with Pani Puri (vegetarian)
Sarson Ka Saag
Onion and coriander salad
Lime pickle, Tamarind chutney, Hot and sour plum, Mint Chutney, and Rosewater carrots
